Belleville washers

Can someone definitively explain the correct installation of part number U-611 Belleville washers, although it seems evident I have two different illustrations that seem to show a different arrangement for an RV6A. Thanks Jim

They mount in pairs, concave side against concave side, so only the edges touch. As you tighten them down, they deform and more and more surface area comes in contact, increasing the frictional force.

Bingo bango. I think about it almost like a flying saucer shape.
