New 9A owner

Hi everyone, I am a new to the group 9A owner. I purchased my 9A from one of the forum active participants. It was a standard kit that he completed to almost the "quick build" status. I have had 2 EAA Tech. Counselors look at it and they have both been impressed with the work performed so far. I have been practicing riveting and actually starting to get the hang of it. Its the back and forth from directions to prints that can get a little unnerving..

Until the Chicago weather warms up working on some inside builds, question what is the length of just the aileron bellcrank, W-918? Drawing 15 shows lenght of W-917 at 90.531.

W-918 L of tube only?

Thanks everyone, Mark C.

Here are 3 threads on the subject. No hard answer, but it looks like cut the 48" tube in half and then you shorten each some. Welcome to the group.

23-1/8"

is what I have "penciled in" on dwg 15.

I allowed 2" at either end for the rod end brg.

Of course, my plane has not flown yet so I don't know that I'd trust my
advice..:D

thanks guys, I called Vans and talked to Joe. Yes, the W-917 is correct on the L-dim. For the W-918 he said to wait until you can lay the wing out for length dimension measurement...
