Default GRT EFIS Database and Canada

Are there any GRT users in Canada willing to share their experience with using a Sport EX or similar flying in Canada?

1. Is Jeppesen the only source of data for us and is it still available? I don't see GRT on their product list at the moment but I might be looking in the wrong place:

I assume we would need this for Synthetic vision to work in Canada? Do we get roads/obstacles/cities/rivers etc or just terrain topography?

2. This is more for curiosity, but are Canadian IFR waypoints and/or approaches loadable in the internal flight plan?

.

Jeppesen don't make it easy to buy their GRT navdata, for some reason. IIRC, I had to do it via email, and then calling them, after creating an account on their system. Now it's on automatic renewal, so perhaps they have made this easier. I'm in Europe, so there might be other options for Canada, I'd ask GRT.
