Paint or polish

I couldn’t paint mine after I did the screen fairing

Good job Matt! That is what I need to do, now to get Vans to sell a pre cut aluminum kit for it.

Matt that looks amazing! Super cool!

Nice way to dress that aft edge of the front lower fairing as well.
What rivets did you use to go through the longerons and did you space them between the existing rivets?

Well done!

(I went to your blog and found out the rivets you used along the longerons Matt, thanks!)

Hi Kent - Along the longerons I used AACQ-4-x rivets, spaced in between the existing rivet holes (no edge distance worries). Where the fairings attach to the fuselage skin only, the rivets are all MK-319's.

Also worth mentioning is that if you're careful with the shape of the fairing and the placement of the rivets, you can avoid having any exposed rivet tails visible inside the cockpit.

anyone done 3 segments ?

I am finally starting the aluminum windscreen fairing.

Just wondering if anyone did the 3 segment concept and how it turned out.

Cheers.
