Lightspeed Plasma III Tach Ground

The Dynon forum is down this week due to a server issue so hopefully someone here will know the answer.

What does one (me) do with the pin 13 shield wire of the Lightspeed Plasma III?

I am running two Lightspeed Plasma III systems.

The Lightspeed Plasma III instruction manual shows that the 15 pin input connector has on pin 6 the tach output signal wire and pin 13 is the shield for the tach output signal wire.

The Dynon EMS has two tach signal inputs on pins pin 34 and pin 35.

So I know that I need to connect one of my two Lightspeed pin 6 tach output signal wires to pin 34 of the Dynon EMS and the other Lightspeed pin 6 tach output signal wire to pin 35 of the Dynon EMS...got it.

But what do I do with the two tach output signal shield wires? Do they need to be connected to the Dynon ground?

Are the shields there to reduce EMI or are they simply the negative ground for the tach signal?

THANKS for your help!!!

Klause?s diagram shows the shield running from pin 13 to ground. I?m not familiar with Dynon, but it should be fine to attach to a ground pin or the airframe.
