I heard from Van's today that WD-01221-1, the replacement engine mount standoff for the SB00023 service bulletin, will now not be available until April. It had previously been backordered to January.

Also, the parts for SB-00013 (the cracking problem in the cylinder exhaust tubes) are not available at all because of a "pending issue." The email did not elaborate.

They're trying but these are trying (in another way) times .

At least you got a date on the standoff. They just told me I was on the list.

I don't know how firm the date is. The last date I got was January 21. I figure it'll get here when it gets here. It helps that I'm not flying.

I can work on the popup camper upgrades in case I decide to go to Oshkosh, I guess.

The bright side is, not being able to work on the plane, I was able to get a home project (renovating the den) done. It's amazing once you build an airplane, how particular you get in other facets of life to be sure it's done right.

Homebuilding has given me so much.

Might be this issue with the slip joint.
