Garmin G5 for my standby backup mount on glare shield?

Has anyone mounted a Garmin G5 on the glare shield? I don't have any room with my current EFIS configuration to mount in my panel. I was thinking of mounting on the glare shield but the Garmin folks said it would not be stable there. Anyone ever tried it out?

What model RV?
I had it mounted on the glare shield in my RV-10.

I also have a G5 mounted on the glare shield of my RV-10. So far no problems, and it seems very stable. Had to fabricate a mounting bracket for it. I used Rob's mounting method as a go-by for mine.

This is what I am going to do in the future for backup too (on my 7A slider). Stealing the idea from Rob as well.
