Fuel Nozzle Lines

Well Known Member
Saw the engine of a Bonanza last week. Being a 6 cylinder, the center fuel line had a circular loop in it. Presumably to allow it to be the same length as the 2 outer cylinders ?? Does it make a difference in performance? Or did they just use all the same length lines. I see they can be ordered in just about any length by # of inches. Just wondering on a non flying day.

Fuel lines

A fluid flow in a pipe or a hose will cause a slight pressure drop.
This pressure drop affects the fuel flow.
If you have the same length of the lines, the flow will be equal in all lines.
If there is a difference in length, the flow will be slightly different.
The goal is to give each cylinder the same flow and hp.
