Cleaning Fuselage

Hi Folks,

I am about to rivet the turtdeck on my RV-8. I wanted to ask folks on how to go about cleaning the fuselage before the deed is done.

I have vaccumed the canoe but it seems there might be dust sticking to the fuselage (afterall it sat for a few years in hangars).

Any recommendations on how to go about cleaning before I rivet the turtledeck?

After I vaccumed, I used a white non lint cotton wrag and wiped it down with acetone. I came out slick and clean. Wear a mask, the fumes are bad when you are back inside. My internal skins were not primed....Only bulkheads and longerons.

Don't spend much effort on cleaning at this point, just a good vacuuming. You will be in tha area numerous times making a mess before the project is done.
