Ignition switch jumper

Question for the brain trust. Going through my first annual, I noted that the ignition switch does not have a jumper between R & GRD. The notes indicate to have a jumper when the left mag is impulse. I have a left mag Slick 4372 (impulse) and the right is a P-Mag. With this combination I am not sure on the switch jumper.

Everything has been starting and performing great but wanted to verify if I need to add the jumper.

Thanks in advance.

No Jumper needed

You don't need a jumper because with 1 impulse and 1 p-mag you want them both firing for start. The p-mag will automatically retard the timing to after TDC until it gets up to speed.
