First Engine Run
It always surprises me when these things fire right up after a couple blades.

Payback time...
Congratulations to the first two posters above - great effort on both accounts. Exciting times ahead!
It was payback time for me this weekend. Now that I'm out of Phase I and able to take passengers I took the wife of the gentleman who did all my signwriting, decals and spray masks for a local scenic for an hour. Unfortunately the weather came in before I had a chance to take him up as well so we'll try again next week.
Its good to be able to share the flying with those who had some input into the final result.
This photo was taken by a local Cessna 206 driver who resides in the hangar next door.

Went up with a buddy to shake some of my rust off . Perfect day in the PNW, we ended up landing at 10 airports (plan was 15 but ran out of time).

Up today in my rv7 with my cfi @10hrs towards my tail dragger endorsement. Was 12-15 kt cross-wind kind of day, did 5 attempts on direct cross-wind runway before he said let’s land without that challenge at least a few times. Having so much fun.

Sedona, AZ
I finally made it out to Sedona. My wife and I celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary. Clear skies and cool weather. Lots of fall color in Oak Creek Canyon.
Photos here.
We hit some bumps on the way back. I look down at my phone and I have a voicemail from the USAF asking if I'm OK since my ELT went off. Sure enough the red blinky light on the panel was going. I reset it, then I was able to call the 1-800 number and they said that they figured it was a false alarm since I was still trucking along across Arizona. Got home with no issues. I was monitoring 121.5 the whole way back and never heard my ELT break the squawk on the radio. Weird!

No flap landing (on purpose). I'd forgotten what they look and feel like, but it was a greaser anyway.
