Small gap filling

Berchmans

I have installed a pair of Aerosport covers of the ends of my cowling split line pin ends. There is a very small gap, 1/16 to 1/8th inch around the edge of the covers. What is the best method for filling that gap?

Do you have the “blanks” that aerosport provides for initial fitting?

You can wax the blank, screw it in, then squeegee in some micro, let set, then remove the blank.

You can do the same thing with the final cover, but don’t have to worry about dinging up the finish of the good one if you use the blank.

Will want some relief between the cover and the cowl to allow for primer/paint....
