Vibration Isolators, Fuel Pump Assembly

Freemasm

Well Known Member
I'm laying out my fuel system. My duplex fuel pump assembly will probably be mounted on the vertical web of forward tunnel rib. This will be in a prime position to radiate pump noise into the cabin. The cabin will already be loud. Should I not be concerned with related pump noise?

Has anyone utilized any vibration isolators in a similar installation? If so, what?

Much thx.

My AFP pump and filter are mounted on rubber baffle material to absorb vibrations.

My TI Automotive dual pumps are both wrapped in rubber sleeves that came with the pumps. Installation instructions state the sleeve is mandatory for direct mounting. One of these days I will trying wrapping them with some Sorbothane sheet to see if it provides better isolation from the airframe.
