Dynon Display Service Bulletin - Rev B

Dynon Avionics released a Revision B of the SkyView Display Circuit Board Replacement Technical Service Bulletin on March 4, 2013. This Revision B supersedes and replaces an earlier version of this bulletin that was originally released on Feb. 11, 2013.

The original bulletin specified a SkyView-based on-screen detection method to determine whether or not a display was affected. However, displays that were thought to be unaffected based on the on-screen detection method may actually be affected by this bulletin.

Therefore, ALL SkyView displays, whether or not they were already checked against the original service bulletin on this topic, must be re-checked using the updated instructions that are available at SkyView Display Circuit Board Replacement - Revision B.

Upgraded mine to 5.1 today and checked it. All good.

Probably a good thing too, shipping to and from Australia costs a mint. And Customs would probably try to tax me again when it comes back into the country!

Just a thought for the good folk at Dynon... If it is the MAC Address that dictates the fault status, is there the possibility of listing a range of MAC Addresses that cover the potential fault, so guys can avoid going from home to plane (to check the numbers) to home (to verify the address) to plane (to pull the screen) to home to post office?

Rob, The best thing to do in that situation would be to just call us. If it is morning your time, then our tech guys will be here and will be happy to check your MAC address.
