Bending nose skin edges

I’m to the point on p. 21-06 preparing to bend the nose skin edges. At first glance, referencing chapter 5, they use a small block with a grove to put a slight bend in the edges.
On the wing, I used the Cleaveland edge tool and it did a nice job but the nose edge skin is nearly half the thickness and there is discussion about having the wrong angle on the edging tool and improperly crimping the edge.

Is there a preferred practice in terms of how will I know when the edge has been crimped enough and what is the best method to achieve the proper edge. It seems like the block with a grove wouldn’t be very accurate or efficient.
Thanks
Jt

I did all breaking with a wood block and cut slot. Different widths and depths depending on material. It is easy and fast once you get a feel. Judge the break by a trial fit and too much/too little becomes obvious.
