I've flown there a few times and plan to again over Thanksgiving. Even though it's in the DC SFRA, it's dirt simple. In a nutshell, just take the most direct route in/out from the west while the transponder is set to their particular code. You can't go in or out of there with 1200.
As for tie down, there are a ton of tie down spots along the runway, but many are taken by aircraft based there. Don't tie down on a spot with a storage box sitting there even if it's otherwise empty.
