RV-6 Brake hydraulic reservoir

bh777bound

I'm New Here
Hello, looking to replace my gasket for my RV-6 hydraulic brake fluid reservoir. Can’t find the make of the reservoir. And also would appreciate a link where I can purchase the gasket. I understand I can most likely just make one.
Thanks in advance

I would glue that gasket and use it long enough to replace the reservoir with one from Van's. You don't need that much volume and complex vent and lid.

It can be replaced without bleeding the system.

Thanks for the reply. I have glued the gasket already a few months ago when I conducted the conditional inspection. It’s holding fine, just wondering if there is a replacement gasket for the next time I take the lid off to replenish the hydraulic fluid. Rather not replace the reservoir, it is working great no issues yet.

Its a Gerdes reservoir used by many other aircraft. Just a paper gasket per google search. Reading shows some used file folder cardboard stock to make one. I have a roll of gasket material. PM me your address and I’ll send u a square you can fashion one from.

I have the same on my 1992 RV6A. I agree, why replace, it works with no issues, keep fluid level 1/2” from top lip.
