Dimples in the R-904 Bottom rib

I have a hard time dimpling these (R-904). Squeezer doesnt go in there.
I have been trying with this tool but can't figure out how to get the nail in there because the opposite side flange is in the way.


Do I really have to spend 80? on the vise grip dimples? Alternatives, tricks?

Cleveland sells a low profile rivet tool that bolts to your bench.

Or to save $$ get creative- I used a flush rivet inserted in the back side of the close quarters female die, in place of the nail. Took a grinder to the jaws of needle nose vice grip pliers to get the geometry right, clamped the dies in the pliers as tight as I could. That got me 90%. The other 10% I carefully tapped the jaws of the pliers with a hammer on the vice. Clean dimples.
