Default Looking for standard oil filter adapter (straight) for IO-540 D4A5

Attachment 17061Hi,

I am on a project to add an standby alternator to my TMX-IO-540 which has the Mattituck 90 oilfilter adapter with a 2,5 in spacer installed.

It might be the easiest and cheapest solution to just go back to the standard straight oil filter adapter.

Question 1:
does someone know if the parts in the attached drawing can be ordered as a kit?

Question 2:
Did someone do the conversion and has the original one for sale?

Question 3:
Can I use the existing THERMOSTATIC OIL COOLER BYPASS VALVES (blue) or are there different models for the 90 or the standard oil filter adapter?

Thanks
Michael

Michael, I installed an Airwolf remote filter setup. On my RV 10 the mount is set on the far right side of the fire wall. I have a standby alternator installed. Good access to the standby alternator and changing out the oil filter is very easy.

Did you buy your engine with the Airwolf remote filter or do you have the original one now available?

I bought mine and installed it in 2017. Engine had not been mounted yet, but not much more hassle with the engine mounted. Just more reaching.
