Default FOR SALE:Garmin GPS 175

I have a GPS 175 I purchased and never installed. I've only opened the box a couple time. It comes with the four foot wiring harness and the GPS antenna. Everything that was in the box when I received it from Aircraft Spruce is still there. Asking $4250+shipping.

It's hard to comprehend why anyone would pay more for an "Experimental" unit than a unit that has an STC for over 700 certificated aircraft. Presumably they're the same hardware anyway.

At any rate, whatever price you see on Aircraft Spruce's website for avionics, you can always do better by shopping around.

Default less money

The price at spruce includes the harness and so does the sellers. So you would save over 400 bucks with this deal. It is not more expensive than the certified version.

Why don't we just let the seller post his item without bugging in and steering others to better deal. In which this case would be false.

Perhaps before shooting your mouth off you should try ringing around and see what the wait time and cost is for one with a prewire / harness.

Please report back.

Its the same unit...Garmin does not make an "Experimental" GPS175...Please read the specs both are TSO'd....The Experimental portion is related to the pigtail...

Look at the picture of this unit for sale..It's TSO'd...

I had the same issue with buyers on my GTN650...Buyers assumed because it came out of a Vans RV it was an "Experimental" unit...Garmin does not make an "Experimental" GTN650 either...

Also in the past Garmin Dealers were not allowed to (or wouldn't) sell a unit without installing it unless it was for an Experimental Aircraft...Seems like that has changed somewhat...

Hello Guys!

Thank you for the clarification in regards to certified vs experimental. I knew that there was not an experimental version and I couldnít understand the reason for the additional price....

In regards to warranty, does anybody knows if it transferable? Some time ago I spoke with a GARMIN tech support engineer from Brazil and he told me that the warranty was limited to the original buyer, but Iím not totally sure about it.

Thank you,

Fabricio
