I am in the same boat, sort of. I am planning on flying sooner than the present seat lead time from the good seat makers. so I decided to roll my own and sew up some seats while I go thru Phase 1. Good luck on your search.

Yes, that's a possibility.
Anyone have unused seat foam sets?

Default Seat Foam

I bought a seat foam set for my 7 from a guy who did not use it and I ended up buying full interior and not using them either. It even has fabric and the patterns. PM me contact info and I will send pics

Mike

Another short term - and fast - option might be automotive seats.

I grabbed a pair from a Suzuki Swift Sport, removed the steelwork and airbags and they slid over the factory seat back almost perfectly. And they're surprisingly comfortable, and look great. Cheap too - cost me $300AUD for both. Several years later, they're still in the plane, albeit with a cutout for the stick, and proper headrest sockets now.
