Old rule. Don't fix it if it isn't broken.
As an example, I just completed my inspection of the HS forward spar per the SB. (there is no SB on the VS I believe).
Still no cracks and I don't expect there to ever be. Still, some have chosen to put the fix in. The difference, the factory studied and engineered the solution. They identified it as a weak area with potential to crack. Not so on the VS.
I would never put a mod on an airframe that has not been studied and appropriately engineered. I don't care how strong it is or looks.
