Cleaning and replacing pad

I'm cleaning up my Dad's previously polished but now heavily oxidized rv8. I'm new to polishing. How often do I need to clean and/or replace the pad?

Really depends on what your using as far as polish and equipment. Check out You tube vids on polishing airplanes or Airstream trailers.

If you have a bunch of oxidation a wool pad on a rotary will really speed up the process.

As far as the polish goes, less is more. Using to much polish acts like a lubricant and just wastes time, material and makes you need to change the pad more often.

I need to start this years polishing, hopefully we can get some decent weather soon.
