Paint exhaust brackets?

I have the vetterman 4 pipe exhaust. It comes with welded bracket that are hung off the engine mount cross tubes. I think they are mild steel so without protection, and especially being in contact with the hot exhaust they will rust like crazy. Any advice on what to protect them with? Rattlecan high temp paint?

Yes, you can paint them with a high temperature paint like BBQ paint. Yes they are mild steel and have been for years after some stainless sets cracked. Never had any problems with mild steel cracking.
