Dynon GPS 2020 antenna

Hello. I guess the light was just right so I noticed a bulge on my 2020 antenna. Is this normal? ( Mine is black because I sprayed a light coat of flat black so I don't get the reflection)

Mine bulged up about 1/4" after sitting in the hot Florida sun one day. I talked with Dynon engineering about and they said its not a big deal unless it affects performance. Mine has been that way for 4 years with no issue.
 
It’s weird I never notice it there before. The airplane is hangared and in cool weather.
