Gascolator Pre-flight

Is this an accurate statement?

“During preflight sumping the gascolator with fuel boost pump off MAY produce no or limited fuel. Sumping the gascolator with fuel boost pump on WILL produce significant amount of fuel.”

Yes it is accurate.

Thought so

Thought that was the case. Had a rough running engine episode and as I was trying to work through it, found the boost pump made no difference in what came out of the gascolator, which was nothing.
