We are a flight of two airplanes (Tailwind and RV4) - planning another bucket list flight - Departing eastern Wisconsin, flying to First Flight (KFFA). Then the Hudson River Corridor, Lock Haven (KLHV) (we have both owned pacers/tripacers in our past) and possibly a stop at Put in Bay (3W2) on the way back home. We would appreciate any and all local knowledge of “must stop/see” places along the general route. We enjoy airport camping so emphasis on airports that allow camping would be great. We hope to depart mid-May but are flexible on the time schedule. Please let me know if there is a more appropriate category to post this. Thanks Everyone!!

Headed East?

If you are headed east from NY. I would highly recommend flying the South Coast of Long Island, maybe land in Mauntauk or Block Island. Continue east along the coast and stop off at Katama airfield in Martha’s Vineyard. Hit Chatham and Provincetown on Cape Cod. Circle back and camp at Goodspeed Airport in Ct.
The water that time of year is a very clear emerald. Spectacular trip and route.
Plenty of places for food along the way. You will be happy you made the trip.

Check out the RAF organization for camping options in route.
