HELP!! First Time Buyer!

Good afternoon,

I'm incredibly excited to get into the Van's community and found a great RV-3 in Prescott AZ. I've already made arrangements with the seller and just need to complete a prebuy and conditional inspection before I fly out to pick it up. Does anyone have any connections in the Prescott or Phoenix area that may be able to do an inspection?

I've already reached out to the local EAA chapter and they're also putting out the word for me. I'm just trying to explore all options to get the ball rolling with the purchase!

So I'm having a hard time finding someone local to look over the aircraft for me. How common is it to fly your mechanic from another location to do an inspection, and (not including airplane tickets) what should I reasonably expect to pay someone if I have to go this route?

Mechanics around DFW get $70- 100 per hour .
Fly out spend over night ,,,? Your looking at 2 days pay ,, minimum...
