6 year old Dynon Heated Pitot Tube?

One of the joys and challenges of working with a project is that you are the benefactor of the plans and purchases the original builder had made. My project came with a heated Dynon pitot probe. Then, back in 2014, there was a kerfluffle about these units. I was able to get a replacement from Dynon in January of 2015, and now, nearly 7 years later, I'm about to install it.

Has the world of heated pitot tubes moved on in the last 7 years? I will contact Dynon for guidance, but are there any new issues I should be aware of here?

Figure out if you have the old version or the new one. If you have the old one call Dynon to see if they will exchange it.

This is a replacement for the older one that had issues. I got a nice reply from Dynon that this is the one still being produced and should be good to go. I still need to get the mounting bit that holds the pitot tube. Small potatoes.

When I replaced mine, it was an easy swap-out. Same mount and everything.
