Wing Baggage Locker

Has anybody seen or thought of a wing baggage locker for an RV-12? I saw this for the Zodiac and thought it would be great for an RV-12 to help with the limited baggage area. Possible to carry things like chocks/oil/covers.

I like the idea of wing lockers, but if you’re building E-LSA, you would have to add them after certification. Do you really want to take the skins off the wings of a newly completed project?

That said, if you’re building E/A-B you can add wing lockers during construction. Not being an aero engineer, I'm not qualified to know if that’s a good idea. But I see in your signature that you are an aero engineer. If you decide to go this route, please keep us posted.

PS-28 Sportcruisers SLSAs have had wing lockers for years. There's one locker in each wing and they're limited to 10Kg each. Maybe the OP can get more info over at their forum scflier.com

It would be a big modification, but you wouldn't be completely re-inventing the wheel either.
