Applying Sika activator to plexiglass

I am preparing to Sika my canopy and I have one question for someone that has completed theirs.

My question is: Do you apply the Sika activator to the plexiglass after initially cleaning with alcohol and scuffing with Scotchbright? I am concerned that the activator will craze the plexiglass. I just want to confirm that others have done this will no ill effects.

Yes

Yes it will, but when you put the primer on, it is black and covers it nicely. Looking through from the other side it will look like the blackout on car windows. We rounded the corners of the primer and it has a great look.

Look at our canopy from the link below in my signature. Go to the canopy pages and you can see what I am talking about.
