Spinner Cutout

Gerald Clabots

Active Member
I am ready to start cutting the spinner for my Sensenich FP prop and would like to know how close the templates are.
Should I cut undersize as suggested or do others find when you have finished fitting you could have cut to the full template size.
Thanks
Gerry

The template is a good starting point. You are going to have to trim a little to get the spinner to snug up and spin true. Clamp and adjust, reclamp and readjust. I marked the very end of the spinner with a colored pen and clamped the spinner to the hub, then turned the prop with the spinner tip snugged up to a 2x4 resting on the floor and touching the end of the spinner. If the spinner tip left a circular mark on the board I readjusted the spinner until it just left a dot on the board when the prop was turned. Then it is turning true and you can fine cut the prop cutouts. The most important thing is no wable in the spinner. Good luck Pat
