RV-10 SB-00002

Complying with the RV-10's SB-00002 (Cracks in the rudder bracket) I see this. It looks pretty superficial to me, possibly just paint cracking (Probably due to the same forces that cause the bracket to crack) but I want to get second opinions from those who have seen cracks before and how apparent it is. Does this just look like superficial paint cracking, the beginning of an actual crack, or a bonafide crack? The photo and lighting does make it look exponentially worse than in real life.

Thanks all!

I haven't seen the SB, is this the area they want you to inspect for cracks? Why would the paint crack? Paint is more flexible than aluminum and can hide underlying problems. Whatever that is, it does seem to be radiating out from the center of the hole. Or not. I think you need to dig deeper and satisfy yourself one way or the other. Can you get in there with a small brush and a little paint stripper?
