Illinois FAA Inspection

Going through the airworthiness certification paperwork on my RV-8 and speaking with the Greater Chicago FSDO today, I received conflicting information on whether or not FAA inspections are taking place and can be scheduled. Seems there is confusion due to COVID. Has anyone in the Chicago area recently had an inspection performed, or know how long the wait is if it can be scheduled? may need to go the DAR route.

I had mine done a few months before , but my hangar neighbor got caught up in the early part of the lockdown. Eventually got it done and they will come out or at least did over the summer.

I was told, in November, that EAB inspections were not "essential" and they were not doing them.

I had better luck with a DAR...
