Aileron skins short?

G'day 9ers,

I have just clecoed a bottom aileron skin to the rib/spar assembly and while the skin is flush with the rib flange at the inboard end, it is short at the other end so the rib flange protrudes. Looks a bit odd. Is this normal?

check the width of the rib flange and the centering of the holes on the flange.

i had the same problem.i got a new skin from vans my edge distance to rivit was worse bob mcmillin r-v9 canopy

Mine was exactly the same.... Was told to just file off the overhanging skin on the oppisite side and could file some of the flange to match... When all was sad and done was not a big deal... just felt it should have matched out of the box.
