Riveting tanks and leading edges

Steve

Well Known Member
I don't recall seeing this topic recently ....
The instructions have us riveting the tank ribs working forward to aft (ok on that one ) while the leading edge ribs are riveted aftmost first working forward (say what?). I plan on following the directions but does anyone have an explanation as to why two similar subassemblies are riveted in opposite directions? Is it an issue as the dimples will sorta lock everything place anyway?

lovin' the smell of pro-seal in the morning,
Steve

Maybe setting the forward rivets squeezes the rib forward against the proseal a bit. It may get ugly later if the rib is too far back.
