Panel / Interior lights dimmer...

Well Known Member
Greetings!

I'm working on my panel, and I have a two-part dimmer for my interior brow lights (LEDs) and my radios. I have two controls.

A potentiometer attaches to the panel and a small circuit board attaches behind with all the wires going to it. The case for the circuit board is a little wonky. (Technical computer term)

A one-piece unit might be more robust?

What are folks using for dimmers for brow lights?

David,
I have used the dimmers from Perihelion Design for LED strip lighting.

Very nice dimmer but for my application created a space issue.
I had pre-drilled my panel for the switches along the bottom and this switch is large enough that it would not fit. I ended up using it but moved it to the right side of the panel. I have not used it for the incandescent lights in my Garmin stack.

Kick kr6

I'm using a kick kr6 pwm dimmer that I got from ebay (15.95 pluss shipping). It works good in my panel tests, but I'm still building and not flying it so no idea of rf effects other operational issues. I does not work with my ps engineering par 200 but does a good job with instrument lights and led strip lights.
