spark plug lead repair question

Upon removing spark plugs, the end of one lead came apart. The spring and 3/4 inch long silicone tubing separated from the wire. Can I repair this myself with no special tools? Does the spring with the pin attached just slide into the wire and held on by the friction of the tubing? I have a traditional slick mag.

There is a special tool used to attach hardware to either end of the wires. It is pretty expensive to buy to use infrequently. You may be better off borrowing the tool, or just paying a mechanic with the tool to repair one lead. You can buy new end components also.
