Replacing two piece camshaft question

Need some expertise on replacing my old two piece camshaft on my Lycoming E2A. There was some type of oil slinger on the old cam that has a cup rivetedide the accessory case that hits the new one piece cam.

The current parts list does not show the cup, should I just remove it and drive on, or is some other part required. Thanks for advice from those who have been here before!

You need to send the accessory case to Divco to have it modified. The alternative is to find a good used case that does not have the steel cup.
