TruTrak roll servo install question

APACHE 56

Well Known Member
I am installing the roll servo in my RV8 fuse. In a prior thread (can't find it again) a member commented that it may be better to install the roll servo on the right side vice left. The reason is that the electrical connector on the servo appears to impinge on the left aileron control tube.
Have any of you found that to be an issue?
If so it looks as though the right mounting is straigt forward. True?

thanks,
Don

I didn't have any issues installing on the left side.

I too installed mine on the right side.

All that is needed is to swap two wires so that the servo works correctly now that it's on the right hand side.

Don:

I know the angle isn't quite right on these photos but perhaps they'll help.

I've had no problem with my left side mount.

Thankfully since my right side was already busy with wiring.

(Looking at left side from above)

(Looking forward)

Chris
