I’m in the process of purchasing a -8 and went to Alex De Dominicis in Midlothian, TX for my transition training. Can’t say enough good things about Alex and the training he provides. We had to fight weather and my travel issues to get the training done and Alex made it a breeze. If you’re on the fence about whether or not to get transition training I’d highly recommend it and Alex.

Transition training is great with a good instructor. My insurance company wanted 2 hours. I spent more than 10 hours in the process, using the opportunity to become not just an RV pilot, but a better pilot with a broader skill set. I'd not done a lot of cross-country flying with a full glass panel, not to mention use of AoA and some of the other doo-dads this plane had on it.
