RV-4 Wing Spar

Anyone know the size of the 28 AN-3 bolts that go thru the wing spar. Drawing #13 doesn’t list the length, just that they are AN-3! Can’t find any other reference.
 
-6 bolt size

On the -6A which has the same wing structure as the -4 those bolts are AN3-16A.
 
Too long?

I found the spec'd lengths too long, requiring as much as four washers (one under the head and two to three under the nut).

However, perhaps that is intentional to ensure that the unthreaded shank goes through all spar and bulkhead materials.
