That's an easy one. The flop tube goes in the back of the second bay not in the end bay. Need to follow Van's instructions for the bending of the wire. Just did one on my new tanks a year ago. Mine work just fine. The flop tube gets 99.9% of the fuel also. Maybe only a couple Tablespoons full left when I run the tank dry.
Wiring is a no brainer, Just hook up the single wire unless you have some weird sensor that has more than one wire.

Did you mistype? The flop tube goes in the end bay.. I believe you meant the fuel sender goes in the second bay!
