I recently moved back to Westover.

So, now that Orange Bird is back under heavy airport security, including:

A Stockpile of Heavys

A visiting C-130 protector

MPs

And even An L-39 Friendly ?although this one has some eastern markings & parts, maybe is counter-intel?

Feeling confident in home base, it is time to conduct a secret mission. The Mission: Stealthily enter Russian defense zone and perform reconnaissance and surprise inspection.

Part 2, Russian Invasion

SO, Here we go. Let?s go in quietly:

Getting near the airport, need to decend quickly to low level for more signature suppression.

Being hazy helps...

What was that? Aircraft on tail? No, just clear turbulence.

Low pass. Russian spy plane spotted! Achieved surprise.

Proof of infiltration from beacon. Let's see what kind of security detail exists here.

Start time noted.

Russian aircraft not ready for alert start and intercept. Chocked and Chained. Rest appears normal.

Weather Is Perfect for surprise. No one expects inspection on such a windy day.

Canopy Cover Secured ? Looks pretty clean. No seagull guts found.

Hmm, still no security force 20m later. This is a key weakness. Noted in the report.

AO, good thing I keep latest upgrades at 53VG under wraps. Can't have any security breaches and pre-mature release of classified information!

Conspiracy! I was spray painting gear legs fairings 3 miles from here. Good job Andy good job!

Reinstalled all fairings and test flew today. Spaceship again...

That's right Tom we are blessed with fun here up north. Move to NJ!


.... in the meantime I was on a patrol. Agent Orange was on IFR leash all the way from Florida and ATC sent him right to my court. As soon as he canceled and crossed Delaware River I intercepted him and "escorted" to my airport for pizza briefing. We peacefully agreed on no more airspace inflirtations

Pep Boys special, suction-cup blind spot mirror 3". Has a spherical joint to the suction cup; It's been working well - but it did fall off when it was cold outside (<35F). Of course this was the last one on the shelf, so with my luck that means it was discontinued.

Tossed the box, but I'll see if I can find a P/N on the mirror.
