RV-ators,
For those in vicinity of the Southeast US you may be tracking the FFI Formation Clinic in North Carolina in June. If you are unable to attend or want to polish your skills in advance of the June clinic you can attend the Dixie Formation Fly-In in Montgomery, AL the weekend of 10-12 April.
Who: Anyone is welcome for RV fellowship, but formations will be limited to RV-3s through RV-9s (and -14s if there are any) and no vernier throttles. If you don't have a plane but want some experience there are typically back/passenger seats open to fly with experienced pilots.
What: The structure will be very similar to FFI clinics with multiple 4-ship gos on Saturday with an All-Up formation on Sunday for those willing and able. There will be no FFI check pilot to administer checkrides, but there will be FFI Flight Leads who can sign off a recommendation to get you ahead of the game for the June clinic.
When: 10-12 April
Where: 1A9, Prattville-Grouby Airport (outside Montgomery, AL).
Why: Why not? To share in the RV camaraderie, practice formation skills, and have fun!
