GTN 650 failure

Last week when i was in a cross country flight i have a message telling that COM radio needs service. The unit continue working and the message goes out and never back again but I note that the COM have lost power because i have to be very close to the station to hear and transmit to be listened.

Did someone of you have the same problem??

First, carefully check the connections of the coaxial cable, both at the GTN and the antenna. Disconnect and look for any sign of corrosion. Similarly check the antenna ground connection for corrosion.
