Ellison parts

Capt. Meatballs

I'm New Here
I need to replace the dual-ball fuel check valve found in the EFS-4? Does anyone know where to get one, or have a part number I can search for?

I believe the fuel check valve your looking for is a Grose Jet. Now out of production. They were made for many different carburetors. There are some available on a popular auction site. You will have to match up the dimensions, and thread size, to find one that works.
Yours is most likely gummed up. I was able to clean mine in the EFS-2 I flew for a few years.

Good luck,

Gary

Mine is actually broken. I have looked everywhere for it, unfortunately without the part number it is impossible to find is as no one lists dimensions on the parts they sell. Thanks for the reply though.

Pic 1 is a Grose Jet valve out of an Ellison 4-5 from this page http://www.miravim.org/4RE/EllisonDisassembly/ the page has some dimensions. Pic 2 is a Mikuni P.N. 1103 (and Tillotson 903?) that is on ebay right now. ($70) They look very similar but I see that Mr. Grose made them in many styles and a few orifice sizes. See http://www.97330.com/GroseJet_id_sheets/D&G_valve_mfg_co_inc.html

There ones with longer bodies that might be trimmed but I don't know enough about them. Here is the patent for them https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/pdfs/US3180354.pdf

So it might fit or it might not. I would like to see a picture of your broken valve. You can PM me one if you want or post it here.
