Electric trim cutoff

Not sure if this is the best category but what the heck:

My new-to-me RV-7A has electric elevator and aileron trim controlled from a stick switch. There seems to be nothing to turn it off other than the master switch. To me this seems to be not a good idea. In my first plane, I had manual elevator trim. In my second plane I had electric trim with a cutoff switch and a manual wheel. I'm not liking the thought of a short running the elevator trim to the stop with no way to cut it off (other than master switch) if it starts. Thoughts? Thanks.

I would be very surprised if you did not have a trim breaker or fuse.

There are also several options on the market to limit trim travel, such as the Safety Trim product, or for me the Dynon Autopilot control module (provides all the trim switching, 3 second cutout and auto trim).
