I'm looking for a used, TSO'd, flip-flop COMM, that can still be serviced. I like the SL-40 but not sure if it is still serviceable.

Any suggestions?

Why wouldnt the SL-40 be serviceable?

SL40 cannot be flip flopped remotely if you're talking that kind of flip flop.

Would a Bendix KY-97A count?

I have an old stock one that has never been powered up. If interested I'll have it checked out in a friend's RV. It is the black face Crown version as shown in this link -

When Garmin announced tbe discontinuation of SL-40/30 sales, the official reason given was that it was getting difficult to obtain the parts. But as far as I know, they are still supporting them.

I have a TKM MX11 flip-flop which is still supported by TKM factor and just came back from TKM with a clean bill of health.
