Default Belly plug

on the belly is a 3/4 inch or so hole under the mixer for bolt access. Is there a plug for this or is it left open?

do people paint the plastic gas cap or leave it gray?

I plugged mine. Home Depot has ones that have a very thin lip, almost flush. They come in black and white.

I had mine painted, but the paint on the handle has worn off from rotation and handling. Maybe a different paint would hold up better, but the paint on the rest of the cap has held up well. It appears the caps on the S-LSAs are painted, so the paint type and pre treatment are possibly factors.

I left mine open. If any significant amount of water ever gets into the cockpit itíll be nice to have it drain right away.
